THE STORY IN SHORT

Suinio used to be an idyllic world, but now a terrible calamity plagues it: all
the toilet bowls have been turned into hundreds of potties and scattered all
around! Help Zampo collect them so that witch Cotechina can bring them back to
their original state...

GETTING STARTED

The game comes in three different formats:
 * 16 kB cartridge (.crt image);
 * EasyFlash cartridge (.crt image);
 * disk (.d64 image).

The game has been designed for the 16 kB cartridge format, but it is best
enjoyed if run from an EasyFlash cartridge, as the additional storage space
allows to load it much faster. On the other hand, the disk format is the least
recommendable one due to the longer loading time (however, since the whole
program consists of just one file, it is possible to speed up the loading with
fastloaders or by disabling the true drive emulation on emulators).

Loading and running:
 1. plug joystick in port 2;
 2. put the desired image on the appropriate media;
 3. load and run the game as per usual.

EasyFlash only: if [RUN/STOP], [Q], or [C=] is pressed during a reset, the
system boots into the BASIC prompt.

KEY CONCEPTS

You control Zampo with the aim of collecting all the potties and reaching the
exit. Zampo has to eat constantly in order not to starve - if Zampo starves, the
game is over.

CONTROLS/NORMAL

* Push [UP] to jump.
* Push [DOWN] to duck.
* Push [LEFT/RIGHT] to move left/right (only when not ducking).
* Press [FIRE] to turbofart.

CONTROLS/PORTALS

* When at a portal, press and hold [FIRE] to start teleporting.
* Push [UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT] to move in the corresponding direction (Zampo
  accelerates progressively up to a given maximum speed).
* Stop pushing to slow down.
* When at a completely non-solid place, release [FIRE] to stop teleporting (if
  any area of the place is solid, teleporting does not stop, and it is still
  possible to move freely until a completely non-solid place is reached, or to
  continue teleporting by pressing and holding [FIRE] again).

CONTROLS/PAUSE

* Press [F7] to pause.
* Press [F7] again to abort.
* Press [FIRE] to resume.

HUD

The HUD is displayed in the bottom-left corner of the screen, and shows (from
left to right):
 * the belly satisfaction level;
 * the turbofart charge;
 * the number of potties left.

CHECKPOINTS

Scattered around the map are the checkpoints, represented by a small flag. By
stepping on a checkpoint, Zampo activates it, making it the restart point where
he is magically relocated by Cotechina when he steps on a spike, falls in water,
or touches one of Evil Masters that wander around randomly.

BELLY SATISFACTION LEVEL

Zampo's hunger increases constantly, and the belly satisfaction level shrinks
accordingly. When the level is 0, Zampo starves. Catching a food item (fish,
sandwich, spinach can, or watermelon) will replenish the level a little.

TURBOFART

Zampo is able to boost his speed and almost fly by means of his turbofart, which
allows him to land on otherwise unreachable spots. The turbofart charge is
limited though, and can be replenished by catching the Gasorade bottles.

THE PIG-OF-STEEL MODE

When Zampo catches the spinach can, he becomes gray-blue, and for 10 seconds he
can kill the Evil Masters by touching them. When an Evil Master is killed, both
the belly satisfaction level and the turbofart charge get fully replenished.

BARRIERS

The path is obstructed in some places by barriers made of glass blocks. To open
them, it is necessary to push the connected switches by stepping on them.

PORTALS

A couple of magic portals allow Zampo to teleport freely and reach places that
are normally inaccessible. When Zampo is at a portal or is teleporting, he is
incorporeal, so no obstacle can block him. As a consequence, he cannot be hit
by Evil Masters and cannot catch Gasorade bottles or food items (but the hunger
remains, and if the belly satisfaction level reaches 0 while teleporting, Zampo
will starve as soon as teleporting stops). A portal can be operated only once.
